Rose 3: D Inner and Outer Petals, two E Small Leaves, and E Stem. Cut
paper stems to desired lengths; Stems shown vary in length from 8 to 13 inches.

Assemble Flower
Note: Take care not to touch hot glue. Use a Popsicle stick to press yarn into glue. Leaving yarn attached to ball, thread end of stem color yarn onto yarn needle and take, from bottom to top, through center of beg ring of Outer Petals. Weave the Stem color yarn through sts around bottom of Inner Petals (or Trumpet), and back through center ring of Outer Petals. Pull gently but firmly until Inner Petals (or Trumpet) sit centered about 1/2 inch above Outer Petals. Insert 1/2 inch of paper Stem through center hole of Outer Petals. Working quickly, spread hot glue over inserted Stem, press against inside of Outer Petals and pull Stem yarn ends taut so that Inner Petals (or Trumpet) sit snugly against outer Petals and paper Stem does not show through. Cut end of yarn on needle (but do not cut yarn coming from ball) leaving about 2 inches. Spread hot glue on the first 1-1/2 inches of the Stem, beg at Petal end. With a Popsicle stick, press tail into hot glue. Trim tail end.

Wrap Stem and Attach Leaves
Place yarn ball on the floor and hold yarn taut between your knees. Spread hot glue on Stem in 1-1/2-inch sections as you work. Holding the Stem horizontally, slowly twirl the Stem to wrap the yarn around the Stem and press yarn into the glue; leave no space bet wraps. Pause after wrapping 2-3 inches of the Stem. Press tail end of Lleaf (or Leaves) into glue along next unwrapped section of Stem. Working around the Leaf (or Leaves) and over the tail(s), cont wrapping the Stem until covered. Trim end. Hot-glue the edge of the Leaf to the stem if desired.Crochet Rose Brooches
