paper stems to desired lengths; Stems shown vary in length from 8 to 13 inches.

Assemble Flower
Note: Take care not to touch hot glue. Use a Popsicle stick to press yarn into glue. Leaving yarn attached to ball, thread end of stem color yarn onto yarn needle and take, from bottom to top, through center of beg ring of Outer Petals. Weave the Stem color yarn through sts around bottom of Inner Petals (or Trumpet), and back through center ring of Outer Petals. Pull gently but firmly until Inner Petals (or Trumpet) sit centered about 1/2 inch above Outer Petals. Insert 1/2 inch of paper Stem through center hole of Outer Petals. Working quickly, spread hot glue over inserted Stem, press against inside of Outer Petals and pull Stem yarn ends taut so that Inner Petals (or Trumpet) sit snugly against outer Petals and paper Stem does not show through. Cut end of yarn on needle (but do not cut yarn coming from ball) leaving about 2 inches. Spread hot glue on the first 1-1/2 inches of the Stem, beg at Petal end. With a Popsicle stick, press tail into hot glue. Trim tail end.

Wrap Stem and Attach Leaves
Place yarn ball on the floor and hold yarn taut between your knees. Spread hot glue on Stem in 1-1/2-inch sections as you work. Holding the Stem horizontally, slowly twirl the Stem to wrap the yarn around the Stem and press yarn into the glue; leave no space bet wraps. Pause after wrapping 2-3 inches of the Stem. Press tail end of Lleaf (or Leaves) into glue along next unwrapped section of Stem. Working around the Leaf (or Leaves) and over the tail(s), cont wrapping the Stem until covered. Trim end. Hot-glue the edge of the Leaf to the stem if desired.Crochet Rose Brooches

Project of the Week: Scratchie

Welcome to the project of the week! This week we will be making Scratchies!
We have created a video for you to fallow along with along with writen instunctions!
Enjoy!

Background:
Scratchie’s are made from nylon netting. Nylon netting unlike tulle is ruff and great for cleaning dishes, general cleaning, scraping BBQs, and pots and pans. The best use for a Scratchie is stainless steel pot and pans along with non-stick pots and pans. Scratchie's are gentle enough to us on pot and pan with the strength to get rid of tough stuck on food.

Life span:
Scratchie’s have a life span of about one to two years depending on the use. They are dishwasher and machine washer safe.

Writen instrunctions:
Materials Needed:
  1. 2 yards of Nylon netting of your choosing (we have chosen purple)
  2. Crochet hook size J (6mm)
  3. 1 stitch marker
  4. Yard stick or ruler
  5. Rotary cutting mat
  6. Rotary cutter
  7. Scissors

How to make a Magic Ring:
Make a large loop by putting the yarn tail behind the working yarn (the yarn coming from the skein), leaving at least a six-inch tail until you become familiar with this method. Later, you may leave a shorter tail if desired.

                                                  1

2
3

With your hook, draw the working yarn through the loop, so you have one loop on the hook.

4
5
7

How you hold the loop while you work the stitches into it is personal preference, but I find it convenient to put both my pinky and ring finger inside the loop to hold it tight.

Dc into the loop, crocheting over the tail. Continue to work as many dcs as needed for you pattern into the loop. (Don’t forget to keep crocheting over the tail.) When you are finished working stitches into the loop, you will likely find that the tail has curled around the loop a few times. To make it easier to draw the loop closed, first untwist the tail; then pull the tail to draw the loop closed. You can leave an open hole in the center or draw it closed very tightly.
